Habitat is hosting a Home Repair Workshop at the La Crosse Public Library! You'll learn the basics of tackling common drywall damage. Space is limited with RSVP information available linked here.
We're specifically recruiting volunteers to assist with demonstrating some techniques and/or greeting folks at registration. Depending on the role no experience is necessary, just a willingness to help others and create a welcoming environment. Roles include:
Lead Instructor (Drywall Experience Required): Teach the workshop and demonstrate drywall repair techniques. Volunteers should be comfortable with patching drywall, applying joint compound, sanding, priming, and painting.
Workshop Assistants: Circulate throughout the room to answer questions, provide encouragement, and help participants stay on track.
Registration & Hospitality: Welcome participants, assist with check-in, distribute materials, help with refreshments, and collect evaluations at the end of the workshop.
