Deconstruct with us! Volunteer with the ReClaim team and carefully salvage usable items from homes and businesses to divert material from the landfill. Bathroom on site, bring lunch or eat in area. Steel-toed shoes are recommended; there is a possibility for working outside so volunteers should dress accordingly. Day-of questions can be directed to Adam at 608-797-1336.

Please note this is subject to change; we are dependent on the School District's abatement and demolition timeline, which changes daily. Thank you for your patience! Volunteering on Fri Nov 21 is CANCELED; however, we would still love folks to swing by for the food drive from 9am until 2pm. Then from Wed Dec 3 to Fri Dec 5, 8am to 2pm at the Hogan Administrative Center, we're recruiting up to 7 volunteers each day at all skill levels to remove items including doors, trim, and flooring.

Habitat for Humanity of the Greater La Crosse Region logo
In Support of Habitat for Humanity of the Greater La Crosse Region
At Habitat, we envision a Coulee Region with ample, quality housing options and healthy, sustainable communities for all. We believe that decent, affordable housing should be a matter of conscience and action; we realize that there are people in our community who are living in inadequate conditions and that joining together we can provide a hand up – not a hand out.

Our values are as follows:

Committed to reuse and environmental sustainability: We believe healthy land and water are essential to a sense of home and belonging. Sustainable practices are embedded in our programs.

Rooted in faith in community: We honor the traditions and values of our founders, and we respect the needs and challenges of our local community as we together seek solutions for affordable housing.

Driven to innovate: We believe our mission calls us to be creative in our work. We look for fresh solutions and partnerships to solve the problems facing our community.

Called to advocate: We demand forward-thinking from our elected officials and work to keep the critical need for quality, affordable housing at the forefront of policy makers’ minds.

Committed to equity and justice: We recognize the historical and contemporary injustices that exclude countless individuals from homeownership, and we dedicate ourselves to addressing and repairing these harms.
