Deconstruct with us! Volunteer with the ReClaim team and carefully salvage usable items from homes and businesses, diverting material from the landfill. Steel-toed shoes are recommended; day of questions can be directed to Adam at 608-797-1336. On Thurs Nov 13 and Fri Nov 14 from 8am to 2pm at Hogan we're recruiting up to 5 volunteers at all skill levels each day to remove items before demolition including doors, trim, and flooring. Bathroom and heat on site, bring lunch or eat in area.
...we think this is the gameplan for next week but won't update the volunteer calendar until Monday 11/17; at that time you can sign up for another shift. On Wed Nov 19 from 8am to 12pm (max 2 people) near Pearl Street Brewery we'll be pricing inventory and loading the truck with furniture from Mayo; park in the large gravel lot to the northwest of the building. On Thurs Nov 20 and Fri Nov 21 from 8am to 2pm (max 5 people each day) we're back at the Hogan Administrative Center.

In Support of Habitat for Humanity of the Greater La Crosse Region
At Habitat, we envision a Coulee Region with ample, quality housing options and healthy, sustainable communities for all. We believe that decent, affordable housing should be a matter of conscience and action; we realize that there are people in our community who are living in inadequate conditions and that joining together we can provide a hand up – not a hand out.
Our values are as follows:
Committed to reuse and environmental sustainability: We believe healthy land and water are essential to a sense of home and belonging. Sustainable practices are embedded in our programs.
Rooted in faith in community: We honor the traditions and values of our founders, and we respect the needs and challenges of our local community as we together seek solutions for affordable housing.
Driven to innovate: We believe our mission calls us to be creative in our work. We look for fresh solutions and partnerships to solve the problems facing our community.
Called to advocate: We demand forward-thinking from our elected officials and work to keep the critical need for quality, affordable housing at the forefront of policy makers’ minds.
Committed to equity and justice: We recognize the historical and contemporary injustices that exclude countless individuals from homeownership, and we dedicate ourselves to addressing and repairing these harms.
